It's been a while since I've posted something on here, I've got a lot to catch up on.
As you all probably know by now Daddy had a heart attack in February, and we've been busy with doctor appointments, and helping him get better.
I'm going to hopefully soon get caught up on all that's been going on, but for now I wanted to post what I spoke on this past Wednesday.
It was my turn to speak for our Wednesday night bible study, and I spoke on Faith.
Here it is.
So we've been talking a lot about faith, and prayer. It seems to be the theme on every side to me at least.
While we've been learning about how to have more faith, and to pray more, it seems that's the key to revival.
Is Faith, and prayer.
I think if we truly grasped a hold of faith, and spent some time in our prayer closet, like Bro.Daniels preached on Sunday. We'd see some things start to happen.
I'm not talking to anyone here, I'll be the first one to admit I don't always pray like I should, or read my bible like I need to.
And with all the preaching I've been hearing, the Lords been talking to me, and telling me to make better use of my time so I can pray, and read my bible like I ought to.
The concept of faith, at first, was hard for me to grasp. I mean having enough faith so that we could literally move mountains? that's a whole lot of faith! But Jesus said that's the kind of faith we can have, and that's what will happen when we do have that kind of faith.
My text is Ephesians 3:20
I felt like this is the verse the Lord wanted me to use.
Ephesians 3:20
"Now unto him who is able to do exceeding abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power in us."
As I was reading that verse, the phrase, "According to the power in us." Struck me. What power? I felt like the Lord spoke to me and said, "Faith."
If we have mustard seed faith, we have power.
So I started to think, 'faith'. What does faith mean? So I looked it up in the dictionary.
According to 'Websters dictionary' Faith means, "Strong belief or trust in someone or something. b: Firm belief in something for which there is no proof.
Strong belief or trust in someone or something. I began to wonder what belief and trust mean't so I looked them up.
Belief means, "A feeling of being sure that someone or something exists."
Trust means, " Assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, and truth of someone."
I thought the definition of trust was a very great way of explaining it. Assured reliance on the Character, strength, ability, and truth of someone.
So they all have a common denominator. Faith- is strong belief or trust in someone. Belief- a feeling of being sure that someone exists. Trust- assured reliance on the character, strength, ability, and truth of someone.
The common denominator is God. In all three definitions they all refer to someone, that someone is God.
So when we say we have faith in God, we're saying that we strongly believe in him, and we have a feeling of being sure that he exists, and we have an assured reliance on his character, strength, ability, and truth.
I was quit surprised to find all of that wrapped into one word, "faith."
So that faith, that belief, and trust in God is our power. In Ephesians 3:20 it says, "According to the power in us." so what the Apostle Paul was saying here was according to our faith.
It's according to our faith on him that we can see the exceeding abundantly, above all that we ask or think to happen.
So if we have faith, we have power. Power to move mountains. Power to see miracles happen. Power to see soul's saved. Power to see revival.
So how much faith we have does matter, because faith see's things get done, and victory's won.
He's able to do above and beyond all that we could ask or think, according to our faith
Here is a picture that mama took of me on Wednesday night.
That's a lesson the Lord has been teaching me. And it's a very important one.
Hope everyone has a good weekend. =)
* A HEART 4 GOD*

Thank you for minding Jesus Shania. Your message both encouraged and convicted me to keep digging deeper into faith for these mountains. God has already moved some very BIG ones. He can and is moving the ones still in front of us. I love you sweetheart!
